The 50th anniversary celebrations of Charlie continue

Enthusiast is joining Park(ing) Day for the second time. Park(ing) Day is an annual open-source global event where citizens, artists and activists collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spaces into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public places. We want to continue the 50th anniversary celebrations of Roald Dahl’s most beloved book and that is why our special installation is inspired by “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”.

On September 19, on Gurko Street, Enthusiast Publishing House will turn one parking spot into a magical “story factory”. Apart from the special “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” installation, we have prepared eco-friendly workshops, where kids will have the chance to color Quentin Blake’s original illustrations from the story about Charlie Bucket.

Many kids took part in the drawing contest “My favorite Roald Dahl character” during the celebration of Roald Dahl Day on September 13. They released their imagination and created amazing drawings. The exhibition will be on display on Park(ing) Day.

On September 19, 2014, kids will have the opportunity to become acquainted with Roald Dahl’s story “The Enormous Crocodile”. It has been published in Bulgarian for the first time and goes along with the original covers and colorful illustrations by Quentin Blake. All 13 books by Roald Dahl that have been published by Enthusiast will be available for the children.

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.” - Roald Dahl

We look forward to seeing you!
