He is french author, romanist and brilliant biograph, who was born in Russia in 1914. In 1920 he moves in Paris and when he is 24 years old he wins his first literature prize. In 1959 he was chosen as a academic in the French Academy. 

He wrote more than 100 biographic books of one of the most famous people in the world of Russia - Pushkin, Gogol and many more. His first novel came out in 1935. The novel Les Eygletier was first published in 1965.

Henri Troyat died in 2007 at the age of 95 in Paris.
