Tim Krohn was born on February 9, 1965 in Wiedenbrück, Germany. A year later his family moved to Glarus, Switzerland, where Krohn grew up.
 
Ever since the publication of his first novel “Quatemberkinder” he has become very popular and is considered one of the best contemporary Swizz authors. His novel “Vrenelis Gärtli“(2010) reached the №1 in the Swiss bestseller lists.
 
Tim Krohn is the author of a number of screen plays and radio plays as well as two short films – “Die Beule” and “Das erste Bild”.
 
Tim Krohn has received a lot of awards for his works. He has also been compared to Max Frisch.
 
Between 1998 and 2000 Krohn was the president of the Swiss Writers’Union.
